EmbanetCompass Announces New Relationship with University of Alabama at Birmingham

Chicago, IL, Toronto ON, and Orlando, FL (February, 2012) – EmbanetCompass, a premier provider of distance learning services, is announcing a new partnership with the University of Alabama at Birmingham to support new programs online; Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in accounting  and a bridge program for those students with a business related bachelor’s degree.

The School of Business at University of Alabama at Birmingham will offer the online Bachelor of Science in Accounting (BSA) and Master of Accounting (MAc) to graduates who want to prepare for accounting careers.  For the BSA, all general education courses can be taken online, opening this degree up to students without any prior college credit. “The expertise in services like marketing, recruitment and retention that EmbanetCompass brings will enable the School of Business to prepare students anywhere for a position in accounting,” stated Dr. David Klock, dean of the School of Business. “The job market for our accounting graduates remains strong and we are committed to offering a premier degree to those students who choose our online offerings.”

“This new partnership with the University of Alabama at Birmingham continues to show us how technology along with quality courses is continuing to move higher education forward and that quality schools like UAB want to be a part of that innovation,” said Steve Fireng, EmbanetCompass President and CEO. “We are excited about this relationship with UAB and what it will mean to their students.”
