EmbanetCompass Announces Partnership with One of the Nation’s Top Universities – Case Western Reserve

Chicago, IL, Toronto ON, and Orlando, FL (July, 2012) – EmbanetCompass, the leading provider of online learning services for the world’s premier institutions, is announcing our latest partnership with Case Western Reserve University to support an online Master of Science in Social Administration (MSSA) through the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences.

The Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences is one of the oldest university-affiliated schools of social work in America and is ranked No. 9 among the best graduate schools of social work in the country, according to the 2012 U.S. News and World Report rankings. The MSSA program provides complete degree requirements online for two concentrations: Community and Social Development and Direct Practice. The Direct Practice concentration includes two specializations: Children Youth and Families (CYF) and Mental Health/Adult (MHA). Two entrance tracks are available: The Traditional Track for those possessing a bachelor’s degree in a field other than social work and the Advanced Standing Track for those with a bachelor of social work (BSW).

“As part of our vision to prepare social work leaders to imagine, build and realize sustainable and healthy communities for all individuals and families, we wanted to offer this education to those who may not be able to attend in a residential format,” stated Grover C. Gilmore, Ph.D. Dean and Professor of the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences. “By offering this degree online and combining the skills of EmbanetCompass with our brand, it will allow our online students the same quality degree as our on-ground students.”

“We welcomed the opportunity to work with such a highly ranked and prestigious university like Case Western Reserve,” said Steve Fireng, EmbanetCompass President and CEO. “The Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences offers one of the best social work degrees in the country and we are privileged to help them take this degree online.”

Since 1913, the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools has accredited Case Western Reserve University. Founded in 1915, the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences’ Master of Science in Social Administration (MSSA) has been accredited since 1919 by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), a nationally recognized accrediting association for social work graduate programs.
